Asbury Park, NJ: The hub of the South Jersey Music Scene has provided musicians a place to develop their sound and begin their climb to the top. Throughout the years, musicians and bands such as Count Basie, Bruce Springsteen, The Gaslight Anthem, Nicole Atkins, and River City Extension have called Asbury Park their musical home and have taken their first big steps into their careers from here. Another artist is looking to do the same at a critical point in time.

Eryn Shewell has been a prevalent name in Asbury Park since 2007. She was nominated for the prestigious Asbury Park Music Awards for the following 3 years and in 2009 was presented with the Top Female Vocalist award. She landed the Top Female Vocalist award in 2011 in addition to Top Blues Band in the same year. Since then, Shewell has independently released two studio albums and performed throughout South Jersey. 

2013 marks a new year, new sound, and new beginning for Shewell. The year started with signing an exclusive agreement with booking agency, Blue Raven Entertainment. Since then, Shewell has been working on her new Self Titled Album, Eryn Shewell. With the help of a new agency deal, new album, and new backing band The Whiskey Devils, Shewell is looking to take her next big step into the Blues and Soul genre. On Sunday June 2, Eryn Shewell will be debuting her new album and band at a classy performance held at Tim McLoon’s Supper Club at 1200 Ocean Ave in Asbury Park. This summer will be a significant one for Asbury Park. It marks the first summer after devastating super storm Sandy with residents and local businesses all looking to rebound off the bloom of the busy season. Eryn Shewell will be doing the same after rebuilding her band and finishing her album, she looks to make a big move forward and follow in the of other Asbury Park’s legends.
